The exhibition will become another for the museum PERMM, but last for River Station, with which the the museum will have to leave. After five years of residence in the museum sent a symbolic and momentous journey for Permian situation, the final of which it is not obvious. Even before the new exhibition project for the museum will be the River space to which PERMM first take a look from the side.
The exhibition "transit zone" bring together several dozen leading street artists, whose works today determine the shape of the urban environment. "Transit Zone" will introduce viewers to the best street artists who have to act for themselves as new: they have to create a huge collective painting in the museum, offering their rooms instead of the city walls.The curator of the project was Naila Allahverdieva known in Perm in the first place as the leader of Public – art museum program PERMM.
"Transit zone – a zone of temporary stay in aqua – or airports. The museum, located on the threshold of moving boundary condition, opens its doors to the city, collecting in the walls Street – art artists of the country. The interpenetration of the museum and the city and creates a "transit zone" border area.
Street – art museum fied, and the museum becomes pliable and, like the urban space, gives artists their wall. In fact, the artists create more teamwork, all parts of which are connected to each other"
In the project "Transit Zone" involving 28 artists and art – groups of Perm, Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Kazan, St. – Petersburg and Novosibirsk.
Their works ( there will be created 32 unique works in the museum) will present Timothy Radya, Cyril Kto, Alexander Zhunev, Group Zuk Club and other authors, many of them are already familiar to Perm inhabitants for various art – projects of recent years. In addition, participation in the exhibition will take two artists from Ukraine – Hamlet Zinkovskyi and Roman Minin previously noted in Perm numerous graffiti and street – art project "Homer" on the wall now demolished housing Dyagilevskaya gymnasium.
Working on their projects, artists will begin on March 14.
During the exhibition, the museum organizes several PERMM special events: a film program on the Street – art artists, a virtual tour of street art projects in Russia, a program of contemporary dance and children's workshops, and an extensive educational program.
