Unique private Museum that focuses on the preservation, study, and promotion of Soviet naive art. The new Museum project Perm collectors and curators of the art of Hope and Andrew Alesevich.
Naive art has much in common with related phenomena: art Brut, outsider art, primitive, marginal art, “the third culture”, or intuitive visionary art, new fiction. With a difference in some of the nuances of all these notions are free from art history and social relations of work. For the naive consciousness has no boundaries real and fantastic, logical and absurd. Soviet culture creates new forms naive view of the world. In the work of artists of the Soviet naive intertwined slogans and appeals to Soviet ideology, personal story “little man”, the everyday life of the Soviet province.
The basis of the Museum collection are works by artists of naive art and outsider artists, created in 1970 – 1990 – ies. Paintings from the collection of the Museum of Soviet naive to understand the spirit of the time, the drop in personal artistic expression of naive artists.
One of the strategic lines of development of the Museum – the study of the phenomenon of naive Soviet art and introduction into scientific use the new names. Studies of the phenomenon of Soviet naive art is just beginning. Problems of development of naive art of the Soviet period, the ratio of the “big story” and individual worldview in the work of artists – require scientific comprehension and analysis.
The Museum strives to create a communicative field for representatives of different cultures. The strategy of the institution is focused on the development of the main directions of Museum work: storage, collection, study, and promotion of artistic heritage.
Today, the Museum organizes scientific events, supports research of the Soviet naive art, publishes scientific and popular scientific literature, implements educational and exhibition projects associated with the phenomenon of the Soviet naive.
