January 22, 2015 at 18.30 in the Perm gallery opens solo exhibition of works by the artist and restorer, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia Igor Arapov "The days of late autumn …".
For visitors the exhibition will be open from 22.01.2015 – 22.02.2015.
The exhibition features 50 paintings created by the artist over the past 5 years. Their key theme – is late autumn, so inspiring artists of its quiet, humble beauty. No coincidence that many paintings of the artist consonant with the best works of Russian poetry: "The days of late autumn usually scold, but to me it sweet, dear reader." Change of bright picture of a flaming paint of forest on suddenly covered it snowpack, pensive time to pre-winter – everything configures the viewer on a deep philosophical – contemplative mood. Restored monuments of icon painting, decorative – applied products: lacquer boxes, made in the style of Palekh craftsmen, elegant brooch, created by natural motives, complement the exposition.
With Igor Vasilyevich is connected the whole epoch in the life of the Perm gallery, in time it's almost half a century (1962 – 2009). He was the first professional restorer not only in the gallery, but also in museums of Perm Krai. His hands saved many works of Russian and Western paintings, icons and wooden sculpture. With his participation several decades gallery systematically organized an expedition to the northern parts of the region to identify works of art and antiquities. Through the efforts of Arapov Old Russian Art Fund replenished with wonderful works of 16-17 centuries, developed a collection of folk art. The most important reference on creative ways Arapov considers sincere love for his work and respect for the person.
