February 19, 2015 Perm art gallery is opened the exhibition "The Below the Bottom", which had became the winner of the contest "A Changing museum in a changing world" last year. The exhibition is a kind of museum, where the exhibits are not true Antiques, myths and hoaxes that have accumulated in the folk culture of the Volga region for a century and a half. Among the exhibits are fur fish, ambaca, Kozmodemyansk man, big – eyed potato – images of the popular fads and fallacies, brought artists to the point of absurdity. The organizers recommend to drop the stereotypes and take a journey through the fictional world of the Volga to the actual facts of history, which, being pronounced in a very documentary form (text printed on paper), find the value of found treasure.
Artists: Eugene Strelkov, Andrey Suzdalev, "Where do the Dogs Run", "City Ustinov", Ilgizar Khasanov, Dmitry Stepanov, Alexei Trubetskov, Olga Khan, Nicolas Selivanov, Valery Korchagin, Sergei Prokofiev, Andrey Mitenev, Natalia Kulikova, Eugene Grinevich, art – group "KUB". The author and curator of the project is Eugene Strelkov (Nizhny Novgorod).
The exhibition will be opened to the public from February 20, 2015 till March 22, 2015.
